Will Shea has conned his way to a full ride scholarship to one of the most prestigious private prep schools in the United States. Soon he runs into a girl named Andrea who in coincidence also conned her way into the school. Unfortunately the prep school isn't big enough for the both of them so they soon make a bet, the first one to con 50 grand out of Brant Rush, a student who practically owns the school. Will soon asks for the backing of his uncle who is one of the best cons in the world, but he also ends up getting his drunken father thrown into the mix. Will starts to fall for fellow students and past lies begin to unravel, can he pull off this huge con?

This book was fascinating, and I hope that Joe Schreiber writes another book about these characters or like this concept, if not I look forward to reading his next works. The book sort of unravels where you can't tell if Will has planned for something to happen or not which is a really cool way to tell a story. It is slightly reminiscent of The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart.

I would recommend this book to...

  • Fans of The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart
  • Fans of realistic fiction
  • Anyone looking for a stand alone book
  • Anyone looking for a shorter read
